Basic Training
Wag Atlanta offers Basic Training for your dog! They will receive two 20 minute training sessions during their visit.
Wag Atlanta uses positive reinforcement training methods to teach your pup multiple basic commands and progress them through 3 different difficulty levels. While your pup is with us for training they will be actively working towards goals which provides excellent mental stimulation and enrichment, and helps them build listening skills.
For each session booked, your pup will receive two 1-on-1 training sessions with an experienced handler. Training sessions are broken up throughout the day to allow your pup to have a mental break from all their hard work. The repetition of training sessions helps your pup retain the information they learned! You will receive a written update as well as a custom video of your pup during their training session. Training sessions are available to add on to boarding or daycare. In order to make sure that we have enough time to work with your pup, they must be dropped off before 10am and picked up after 4pm.
We will lay the foundations for you to build off of, however training is a lifelong commitment and requires consistency, even at home. The commands we teach can easily be incorporated into everyday routines you already do with your pup! Progress takes time though!
For best results, Wag Atlanta recommends practicing training on a consistent basis in small bursts. Booking 2-3 training sessions a week with us and practicing at home is a great place to start. Training is a gradual process and various external factors, such
as home environment, genetic predisposition, previous training, and unforeseen events can affect training results. Be patient with your pooch and remember that this is just as much about their enrichment as it is the results!
$60 per day (includes two 20 minute training sessions)
We offer different levels of training that will allow your dog to continue to grow and build skills and confidence. The trainer will work with your baby starting at the first level until they have mastered it, and then graduate them to the next level at their own pace.
